Pho' Hoa

Meeting di luar kantor bisa kamu jadikan pilihan nih biar ide-ide kreatif lebih keluar. Di sini kamu bisa nyicipin masakan khas Vietnam yang segar. Siapa tahu sehabis makan semangkuk Beef Pho langsung punya ide-ide brilian.

I've always been a fan of Pho. This particular Vietnamese dish has its own way of winning my smile with a bowlful of warm hearty broth. That's why I get so excited when a new joint opens in town. Pho Hoa is not exactly new though. They were once here long time ago and then left for some reason. So their reopening in Wisma Metropolitan brings a little nostalgic story for a few. And so I venture it out. I like how they presented the dishes in their menu. Its a simple straightforward no hassle kind that direct the viewer to the most important part: the selections of pho. I reckon this must be psychologically rigged, because I always end up choosing the most expensive one with the most variety of toppings. Every. Single. Time. Either that, or I'm just that kiasu. Well anyway, I had the one with beef brisket, tendon, and tripes. To my surprise, it wasn't as good as their contenders that I've been going to. Their broth is a little different, a little less aromatic, lacking that beefy flavor, and has this somewhat bitterish end that annoys me a bit. Other than that, the presentation, the generous amount of topping is a plus. Question is how often will I come back? Or would it worth traveling so far? Maybe, occasionally.
